H&S modifies those 5th and 6th gear shift points to greatly reduce these annoying problems.īlack Maxx, Mini Maxx, and XRT Pro owners will have the ability to use their existing units to load the H&S Overdrive Transmission software. This condition worsens with performance engine tuning, and can cause unnecessary damage to your transmission. 5th and 6th gears will come in early and cause a "dead pedal" or even a transmission "shudder". One of the biggest complaints about the stock 68RFE transmission is the early shifting. The H&S Overdrive software is specifically tailored to H&S engine tuning software, and will ensure that you get the best performance and reliability out of your transmission. In order to meet the high horsepower and torque output of the 6.7 Cummins engine, we have modified the transmission tuning software to better "put the power to the ground". A finely tuned engine is worthless if that power cannot be transferred to the ground. H&S Performance is proud to announce the "OVERDRIVE" software. There are usually 3 EGT sensors, 2 O2 sensors and 1 pressure sensor on the 07-09 and 3 EGT sensors, 2 O2 sensors and 1 Pressure sensors on the 10-12. These sensors can also be removed completely with the factory exhaust if desired. When running this tuner it is recommended that all sensors located in the factory exhaust system be unplugged from the electrical harnesses. Failure to unplug the UREA system may result in a check engine light and/or dash messages. On the 11-12 Cab & Chassis there is a UREA system that must be unplugged or removed completely. If desired, the entire EGR system can be unplugged, blocked-off or completely removed when running this tuner. The EGR system is already disabled in the tuning and will not function under any conditions. It is not required to unplug or block-off the EGR system on the 10-12. On the 07-09 you must unplug the EGR system if not installing an EGR delete.
